  My husband and I stayed at the Boulders Resort last December 2014 to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and everyone congratulated us and couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in a casita and our driver lit the fire, showed us how everything worked and was just great. We made a dinner reservation in the Palo Verde and were very impressed with the service. Our waiter even treated us to champagne. The food was excellent, the service attentive and we had a wonderful experience all around. I don't remember what we ate but we were both more than pleased with our evening.
  This past December we decided to go again to celebrate our anniversary and were hoping to have the same experience. Unfortunately the Palo Verde was under renovation so we were not able to eat there. We couldn't contain our disappointment and told them that was the main reason we came. They assured us that the Grille was very good and in fact had the same chef during the renovations. We were told that if we would like to try it that they would look after us. Well, we did go and the food was excellent again, the chef came out to welcome us and the staff did not let us pay, not even for the liquors! We couldn't believe how generous and friendly everyone was toward us. We stayed over at a casita again and had a terrific breakfast, lovely fruit and pastries. Our initial disappointment regarding the restaurant was turned into a wonderful experience again. This resort does not need any lessons in how to make their guests welcome and they more than compensated us for our initial disappointment. We would recommend this resort, the restaurants and the excellent service to anyone. The setting is lovely and we enjoyed walking around the grounds and seeing the beautiful surroundings.
